Dr. Chandrakant Baviskar is a professor of Education and Director at School of Educational Science, Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded (Maharashtra) India. He is elected senator, member of Academic council and Chirman BoS in Education of SRTM University; besides this he holds additional charge of Director, Center for Distance Education. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Science and Education as well as post graduate degree in Zoology from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. He has obtained post graduate degree in Education and from Shivaji University, Kolhapur. He also received his Ph.D. in Education from the Shivaji University, Kolhapur in 2007 under the guidance of Prof. Dr. M. S. Padmini. Apart from this he successfully completed four MOOCs on OER from The Open University of Srilanka. He received best research award for his doctoral research work from Shivaji University, Kolhapur in 2006 and Prof. N. V. Patankar award for excellent work in the field of educational research from Tilak College of Education, Pune in 2017. He begins his teaching career from B. G. Kharade College of Education, Kolhapur as a lecturer and after one year of service he worked as a UGC Project Fellow on the UGC Major Research Project at Department of Education, Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The successfully completion of UGC Research Project then he selected as a lecturer in the Vidya Pratishthan’s College of Education, Baramati. Later on he joins Department of Education, Dr. Babsaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad as Assistant Professor. In the present institution, Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded he selected as a Associate Professor and became Professor in Education in 2015. He served as resource person in the national and international conferences/seminars/workshops, faculty development programs, refresher and orientation programs. He worked as master trainer for INTEL Teach to the Future Program and AIDS Prevention Education Program of Maharashtra Government and trained teacher educators and school teachers.

His research interest includes ICT in Education, Science Education and Pedagogy. His doctoral student Mr. Devidas Taru has developed lyric form poem package which was accepted by the Maharashtra State Bureau of Textbook Production and Curriculum Research, Pune and developed package has been uploaded on the ‘DIKSHA’ APP of NCTE, New Delhi which is a National Teachers Platform for India. The uploaded lyric form poems enable to create enjoyable teaching-learning experiences. He completed research projects funded by the UGC, UNDP & YASHADA.
