I have been passionately working in the field of Geophysics in general and Seismology in particular since 1999. With the Support of the University we have established a Broadband Seismological Observatory on our own in the campus in 2008. We are the Only State owned University in Maharashtra to offer Post Graduation course in Geophysics. We had operated a network of 5 stations to study the Nanded seismicity in 2010-11. I have completed 3 major projects and a minor project in understanding the seismicity of the region and have published 10 reasearch articles in journals reputed internationally.

We are also establishing a Center of Excellence in Seismological studies in the region with 10 broadband seismological stations in Collaboration with CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute Hyderabad, Indian Institute for Science Education and research (IISER Kolkata) funded by RUSA Maharashtra with an outlay of 1.8075 Cr to understand the intraplate seismicity of Killari and adjoining regions.
