Before we talk about the functions and activities of this cell, it is the part of duty to clarify that the cell is basically meant for dealing with the problems of women on campus relating to sexual harassment and violence at the workplace. This women’s grievance cell was established long back by this university and is being reconstituted on 24th June 2009.

Unfortunately the first impression, of such cells is the coming together of women against men. The problem possibly lies in the mentality and attitude of both men and women. However, this cell is dedicated for creating an environment in the campus where every body feels safe and self confident. It is the vow being taken by the members of the cell to create a campus working environment where every body agrees prevention is must in cases relating to several harassment and violence against women.
