The School of Physical Sciences runs M. Sc., M.Phil, and Ph.D. programs. The school follows CGPA scheme of assessment for M.Sc. and M.Phil. courses. Every student is required to complete 100 credits in two years with 25 credits per semesters for M.Sc. degree. Faculty members are actively engaged in research and funds to the tune of Rs.1.5 crores have been generated so far from various agencies such as UGC, ISRO, DST, CSIR, etc. The school has published more than 250 research papers in reputed journal and 10 books as well. Faculty members are also having research collaboration with various institutes in India and abroad. Besides the course curriculum, the students get research training through their research oriented project. The students are encouraged to participate in scientific programmes and the school has received awards in State level program ‘Avishkar’ for last consecutive two years. I welcome the students to avail the expertise of the faculty by joining courses available in the school.

The school is eager to set up additional collaborative research programs with national and international institutes.
