Scope of the Subject
The school offers M. Sc / M. Phil /Ph. D. programs. M. Sc. programs in Microbiology and Botany were started in the year 2001 and 2005 respectively. Admissions are based on merit. The School of Life Sciences is the choice of destination for the best students from the four districts of Marathwada, like Nanded, Latur, Parbhani and Hingoli. The number of seats for M. Sc. courses is kept at a reasonable level, twenty seats for Biotechnology, ten for Botany and twelve for Microbiology. We have been experiencing a steady increase in the number of applications for admissions to the school in spite of the proliferation of other institutions offering the same courses. Admissions to M. Sc. Biotechnology are based on a Common Entrance Test.
