Research & Extension
The School has identified Groundwater, Environment, Geophysics, seismology
and Geochemistry as thrust areas of the research. Environmental pollution
including water, air and soil, monitoring and evaluation studies is being carried
out in and around Nanded city.
The school also actively participates in the earthquake monitoring studies in this
area. Several Ph.D.s have been awarded in the Fields of Geomorphology,
Remote sensing, Pollution aspects, Water Quality Studies and Environmental
Impact Studies, geophysics and geology. Few Sponsored research projects are
completed in the areas of Environmental pollution aspects in and around,
Nanded, Seismotectonics of the Killari region and Prakasham Alkaline provence,
Eastern Gfhat Belt etc.
School teachers have shifted their research approach from quantitative to
qualitative in terms of publishing papers which is reflected in incremental growth
of Impact Factor. Many important research papers are being published in thrust
areas mentioned above.
School is funded by DST under FIST scheme.
The school got UGC grant of Rs. 50 lakhs under Innovative program to start the
