Skill Improvement Program

The organizational structure of the school and assigned roles follow the typical system prevailing in affiliated institutions. More dynamic and participative approach would create the conductive climate for better academic growth of the school. No doubt, the school has good computer facilities and training is also appreciable, but introduction of Value Added Programmes in various spheres with a strong technology will be a positive contribution of the school. This needs to be skill oriented in general. Keeping in this mind, recently, school got permission for three PG diplomas, which will run parallel to degree programs in order to provide some additional hands on skills to students

  1. PG Diploma in Computer Forensic and Computer Security
  2. PG Diploma in Cyber Law and Computer Security
  3. PG Diploma in Linux Administration

To improve skills ,beside introduction of skill oriented programs , the school give emphasis on mainly industry demanded courses and hence no extra or hands on skills are provided at present . Off course, the school takes care to cope for the advances in course curriculum as the field of computer science changes constantly.

The school tries to upgrade the course syllabus in planned cycle, so far three times in last five years. Such modification, of course, takes care of persistence of core subjects like Software Engineering, Computer System Architecture, Data Base Management Systems (DBMS), etc. The new contents introduced so far includes CGI Scripts, Dot-Net, Advanced Networking including Network Security and Linux Administration.

Major part of syllabus is framed through the perspective of NET and SET Examinations. This makes students easy for SET-NET-JRF exams.
