Admission to the course is strictly based on merit at the graduate level examination. Any candidate who is holding a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry or a general B.Sc. with Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry as an optional subject, from a recognized university is eligible for admission. 70% and 30% of the available seats are categorized for home university and other universities from M.Sc. students respectively. Amongst them 30% and 50% seats are reserved for ladies and reserved categories respectively. Moreover over and above quota 20% and 15% seats are allotted for other state and international students respectively.
