Hostel council is constituted involving Rector, wardens and students.

Dr. D.B. Panaskar

Dr. D.B. Panaskar is rector of hostels for boys and girls. He is Head of Environmental Science in the School of Earth Sciences.

Boys and Girls Hostel has its own council to look after its routine activities. Office bearers of the hostel council for boys & girls hostels are-

President : Warden

Hostel Representative: A student representative, selected by the all hostelites, in Warden’s absence, looks after the hostel.

Wing Secretaries: Wing secretaries, a students representative, look after their respective wings and assist the Hostel Representative.

News paper & magazine committee: This committee has a chairman and four members.

Maintenance committee: This committee has a chairman and the eight members. It looks after the maintenance problems in the hostel.

Mess committee: This committee has a chairman and eight members. This committee looks after all the activities of the mess.

Cultural committee: This committee has a chairman and four members. The cultural programs are organized by this committee.

Sports committee: This committee has a chairman and four members. The sports events to be organized by the hostel are looked after by this committee.

Students counseling and placement : students counseling and placement of the university campus students is done by this committee
